The Freezer #3 Summing it up

Not yet tidied up cable and hose management but in place and connected is the third version of Victron DC-AC inverter. This is an 800VA unit.

To the right, above the 230V, outlet is a groundfault interruptor/fuse solely used for the freezer circuit.

This Victron unit was a fair size larger than the previous two (250 and 350 Watt models) why it took some work on the cable conduit on the right side of the unit.

Did it work?
Yes! This time it did. I tried a cold start after the freezer had been unpowered for a half day. Cold starts, I have learned, is the hardest for a compressor as it has full pressure against it in the gas-liquid cycle. This is the reason for the momentary and very high starting current.
One can hear the inverter humming slightly louder than usual for a second upon startup. No overload warning from the inverter at all though.

The output is regular Schuko plug (hidden) so if the inverter would fail it is a moment to unplug it and plug into the socket you see on the wall.

Some lessons learned.
Freezer project done.
